IgM/IgG blood serology study for COVID-19 in your business

Turn your business into a COVIDFREE safe space

Our LNZmedical Nursing team travels to your establishment under the established protection measures, in addition to current protocols for sample transport and extraction. Results endorsed by a certified laboratory on our island.

COVID-19 IgM/IgG antibodies

The test consists of detecting IgM/IgG antibodies by extracting a blood sample.

- IgM antibodies, found mainly in blood and lymphatic fluid; this is the first antibody the body makes to fight a new infection. (In this case it would indicate that the patient could be suffering from the disease actively, or recently)

- IgG antibodies are the most abundant type of antibody in the body. It is found in blood and other fluids and provides protection against bacterial and viral infections. IgG can take a while to form after an infection or vaccination. (In this case, it would indicate that the patient has antibodies that show that they have suffered from the disease in the recent past)

In cases where both IgM, or both, are positive, a nasopharyngeal exudate or sample, also called PCR, should be performed, which would confirm in a positive case whether the patient is currently suffering from COVID-19 infection. The affected person would be notified of their positive result, in which case a PCR sample would be collected.
